N-Butane is primarily used as a heating and cooking fuel. N-Butane is also used as a chemical intermediate in the manufacture of a variety of organic chemicals: Acetic acid. Butadiene, used as a raw material for synthetic rubbers. N-butane is also used as a component in calibration gases for the gas,oil and chemical industry.
