The CD is of Oscar Peterson's Canadiana Suite, which dates from the mid-1960's and is a wonderfully cohesive set of pieces that were written to go together -- and does so beautifully. Peterson also produced a much-less effective piece that is called his Canadian Suite; it is far less coherent.
